80 years of THE gospel

Fellowship Baptist Church was established after weeks of running tent revival meeting in 1936.  Borger was a young town in the middle of the oil boom and people were flocking from everywhere to find work.  In the midst of the oil boom was a people boom and a vision to see them come to know Christ in a real and personal way.  Fellowship Baptist Church was chartered on November 29, 1936 as an independent, fundamental, Bible believing, baptist church; and is still that way today.  The message has never changed, though methods have come and gone.  Fellowship believes in modern methods and old time gospel.  It has always been known for its Spirit filled preaching with conviction.  Over the years Fellowship members have gone on to pastor in other places, and have been sent around the world to preach the gospel of our Lord.  God has always had his hand of blessing on this body of believers and has made Fellowship a Training Ground For The Word Of God.

OUR PURPOSE

"Fellowship Baptist exists to glorify God by equipping gospel centered disciples and connecting them to the mission of Christ both at home and around the world."

  • "At Home"

We emphasis discipleship, the biblical model of multiplication that Christ Himself exemplified, as our primary means of reaching a lost and dying world with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.

Locally we seek to engage our community and invest in the people, desiring to see all conformed to Christ's image and living a gospel centered life. We accomplish this through building relationships with those around us and personally "winning our world."

The Mission of the Church matters!

  • "AROUND THE WORLD"

Fellowship strives to partner with God and His people all around the world who have been called to reach the lost. Our main missional focus is reaching the "unreached." The "unreached" includes two-thirds of the world's population, more than 4.4 billion people who live in the "10/40 Window.

Learn more about the "10/40 WINDOW"

90% of the people living in the 10/40 Window are unevangelized, never having heard the Gospel message. There are either no Christians or not enough of a Christian movement in many cultures of the 10/40 Window to carry the message of God's grace through Jesus Christ. We have determined to do our part in changing this.
