Membership Matters

We take membership seriously and with a lot of gravity. Committing yourself to a body of believers is weighty issue but it’s also wonderful. It's more than a box to check or a status to obtain, church membership involves a conscious commitment to a specific people, place, and purpose. When Covenant Members join, they commit to a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. We are called to a biblical degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice to our brothers and sisters. Our elders and leaders also pledge to assist our Covenant Members with care, counsel, prayer and teaching.

Our Approach

a way, not "the" way

As Scripture states, each local church has a unique role to play in the Body, the universal Church (1 Corinthians 12:12-14, 27; Romans 12:4-5). All are welcome to call Fellowship "home," but as a local manifestation of the Body of Christ, we humbly recognize that everyone may not agree with our approach to ministry; in fact, we praise God for, and celebrate the churches in our community with different approaches to sharing the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A covenant involves a mutual agreement, so there are some things you can expect of us as well as a few expectations we have for our covenant members.

At Fellowship, you can expect:

  • a clearly articulated mission,
  • a truth to guide us,
  • good-natured humor and fun among family,
  • and an approach to ministry focused on making disciples who making disciples!

Our covenant members respect the vision of our leadership and support the opportunities of the church based upon gifts & interests.

COVENANT MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES:

  • engaging the faith community through Small Groups, member meetings and services
  • serving in a ministry of the church,
  • striving for spiritual maturity through personal discipleship with a focus on making other disciples
  • and supporting the Mission of God through faithful offering of time, talent and treasure
  • In short, every member is ACTIVE in ministry.

   COVENANT MEMBER RENEWAL

Every year our Covenant Members will spend the month of November remembering, reflecting, and renewing our Covenant with God and one another. This process allows each of our members the opportunity to remember all the Lord has done over the past year, to reflect on our faithfulness to the our call to be the Bride of Christ, and to review our church Membership Covenant together.
